Special Report: Preventing Sexual Abuse of Arizonans with Developmental Disabilities

The Arizona Developmental Disabilities Planning Council (ADDPC) has released a report with recommendations for the Arizona State Legislature and state agencies to prevent sexual abuse of Arizonans with developmental disabilities. ACDL has partnered with the ADDPC on this very important issue.

The report “Sexual Abuse of Arizonans with Developmental and Other Disabilities” includes specific actions state agencies, providers, families, and others should take to prevent and reduce sexual abuse of vulnerable adults in Arizona.

The report is available in a variety of formats. Click here for the screen reader-friendly version in Microsoft Word format and click here for the PDF file.

Anyone can request a hard copy or other formats as an accommodation by calling (602) 542-8973 or by email at sruf@azdes.gov.

Stay up to date on this project by visiting the ADDPC online at https://addpc.az.gov.
