Letter Generators: ACDL Introduces a New Self-Advocacy Tool

Some of the most popular self-advocacy resources ACDL offers callers are letter templates. This is when our attorneys and advocates craft a standard letter for a common issue. These template letters can then be customized by a caller and submitted to the appropriate party. Having a template can take some of the anxiety out of sending an important letter since you know the basic verbiage has already been reviewed by an expert.

Now this process will be even easier! Starting with our Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) template letters, ACDL is introducing automated letter generators. Members of the community can now enter their personal details into a fillable form instead of having to completely re-type an example letter. After adding your information to the fillable form, just submit and the tool will create your PDF letter. You will be able to download the PDF letter and either email it as an attachment or print it for mailing.

Five common VR topics have been added and there are more to come from other departments. Please explore our new letter generator and let us know what you think.

Happy Self-Advocating!
